Nintendo Unveils
DSi First Party Games For 2009-2010
The strongest
aspect of Nintendo as a gaming company is the depth of its library of original
properties. From Mario and Luigi to
Zelda and Link, from Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to Samus and Mother Brain, from
Yoshi and Kirby to all of the Pokemons in the world, few companies can boast of
the same level of first party properties that Nintendo has developed and
amassed throughout the years. So
engrossing are its first party properties that many gamers buy Nintendo
consoles – and the Nintendo DSi in particular – just to play the first party
games that Nintendo will release.
And as Nintendo
unveils DSi first party games for 2009 to 2010, the gaming world is once again
stirred up to a state of frenzied anticipation.
Nintendo unveils DSi this year, and soon afterwards, Nintendo unveils
DSi first party games for the next two years – it’s a Nintendo fan’s dream come
true!
As the report
goes, Nintendo unveils DSi first party games based on the following release
schedule:

Mario and Luigi RPG 3 (April 1, 2009). The third installment of the famed franchise
that started with Square’s (now Square-Enix) RPG take in the brothers’ adventures
in the mushroom kingdom way back in the SNES days is coming. This is actually the 2nd
installment on the DS. And now that
Nintendo unveils DSi version of the game, April Fool’s Day for this year will
actually be one that’ll be worth celebrating.
2.
Pokemon Platinum
(March 22,2009). As Nintendo unveils DSi
version of Pokemon Platinum to the

Legend of Zelda:
Spirit Tracks (2009/2010). Nintendo
unveils DSi Zelda in the recent Game Developer’s Conference (GDC). The game is a direct sequel to the Phantom
Hourglass, the last Zelda game for the DS.
In the short trailer that was show, it seems like Link – the hero of the
series – will be dealing with trains to accomplish certain objectives, much
like how he dealt with ships in the previous game.
4.
Rhythm Heaven (1st
half, 2009). This is a rhythm game that
is similar to previous entries in the genre like the highly acclaimed Elite
Beat Agents.
