5 Games We Want To See For The DSi From Nintendo
A new Zelda game,
Spirit Tracks, is coming to the DSi from Nintendo. There are already 2 Super Mario RPGs for the
system as well. But some properties have
been left in the dark, and the world is awaiting their rebirth. Here are 5 games people want to see for the
DSi from Nintendo, and people want to see them as soon as possible:
1.
A new Super Mario Brothers! Yeah, there has been a Super Mario Bros. game
for the Nintendo DS and it was fantastic.
But we are in a new age, the age of the DSi from Nintendo. The new handheld has new features and a new
Super Mario Bros. game that will make good use of these functionalities is going
to be fabulous! Mario is Nintendo’s most
popular spokesperson, and every new console – handheld or otherwise – should
always, always, ALWAYS be accompanied by a Mario game, the DSi from Nintendo
included.
2.
A new Metroid ! No, not Metroid Prim, please. The world wants the classic side-scrolling
Metroid from the days of yore. With the
improved 16MB RAM processing power of the DSi from Nintendo, such a game is
definitely going to be eye-popping!
3.
Kid Icarus is
due for a revival like… 10 years ago! Mario
revivals, check. Zelda revivals,
check. Yoshi revivals, check. Heck, even Kirby has had many games tucked
under his belt. But Kid Icarus? The devil-shooting angel in diapers who
helped define 8-bit gaming during the early days of the Nintendo Entertainment
System (NES)? People have clamored for a
new Kid Icarus game for decades! But, we
have yet to see one. A new Kid Icarus
game can provide a tremendous boost for the popularity of the DSi from
Nintendo.
4.
Localized
version of Inazuma Eleven! Inazuma
Eleven is a rare breed of RPG. It’s a
sports-based RPG that is completely different from the sword and sorcery fare
that usually graces our video games.
Level 5, one of the best game companies these days, developed the game
and it’s a shame that no English version is planned. It has been a big hit in
5.
Where is the
Nintendogs sequel? Hopefully, this
sequel will make use of features found only on the DSi from Nintendo. The first Nintendogs was a big hit. It was a genre-creating and system-defining
title that helped catapult the original DS to the top of the portable console
wars. The first Nintendogs made
excellent use of all the revolutionary features of the DS back then: dual
screen functionality, touch screen controls (petting the dog with your
stylus? Classic!), built-in clock for
real time challenges, and the mic (shouting instructions to train your
dog? A stroke of genius!). The sequel should incorporate features found
only on the DSi from Nintendo. How about
using the dual cam to integrate real environment with the game mechanics? Or the photo manipulation feature to
customize the aesthetics of the game?
The world needs a new Nintendogs game!
